Is it really hard to build connections with women in India through cold approach like we can in college?
So my MBA is freshly done and I am still searching for a job and mostly in home with parents. I am 24 and unable to meet people in an organic way as campus life is done and not yet in a workplace so the smoothest and easiest way to meet women isn't available to me now. Plus I live in the city Bangalore in India and honestly in India, most Indian women are cautious and reserved about men who are strangers approaching them. Even on Instagram, i often get ghosted and some women doesnt even reply to me anymore.
So I have been cold approaching women both Indian and foreign expats in Cafes, pubs, bookstores of Church Street, Lavelle road, Indiranagar and the UB City mall. So far my interactions with foreign women have been great but mostly have been one time convos or sometimes only twice if we met again. Just 2 days ago talked with 2 Russian expat women who are MBA student, 3 days ago with an African woman who is a hairstylist and 4 days ago with a Swedish woman who is an exchange student doing her Masters and also previously professionals and interns from Germany, US, Canada, Japan, France etc. But most of the time i dont ask Instagram as i worry that it might come across as too much for a stranger and I would only ask if we met again. With Indian women tho, the conversations are shorter.
At least with expat women, we ask names, talk general stuffs, even have laughs but with Indian women many are cautious due to cultural norms or maybe other things like whether i am safe or what will people think so majority of the time there isnt much conversation. In my MBA campus and even during convocation, i talked with many Indian women from my campus and they were comfortable as it was a shared context but outside that in cold approaches, most Indian women are cautious. Most go with friends too. Dating apps don't work for me either. I use Instagram and Linkedin to get to know women too but many times it can be a hit or miss. I just don't know how to navigate these as college is done so the natural ways to meet Indian women isn't there at the moment. What do you feel?
