I moved my father in with me a few years ago to take care of him when it became apparent that he had dementia. It is very challenging but was an easy decision for me.
Despite extreme difficulties daily, it does lead to some comical moments on occasion.
He once told a long-haired nurse that had her back to us that she was very sexy, and he wished he would have met her years ago... only to have "her" turn around and be a long-haired man with a mustache...
Priceless!
It is just unfortunate that, because he does not have the ability to remember anything, I can't bust his chops in the way that I would have before his current condition took hold
