So asked this girl for a hangout and she left my text on seen which means a "No". Did I say anything wrong?
So there is this girl Hiranya with whom I had been chatting for several months on Instagram. We used to be in the same school but as she was my junior we didnt know each other in school but recently about 9-10 months ago I bumped into her profile and we saw we have some mutuals on Insta so we started chatted and she was fine with chatting with me. Now she is 21 turning 22 next month and I am 24. She just freshly graduated college and is working whereas I just freshly completed my MBA and searching for a job now. She is from Himachal Pradesh in North India and I am from Siliguri in West Bengal but we both have been living in our city Bangalore, India for many years. So yeah after chatting for months, today I decided to maybe ask her out via Instagram but she left it on seen which signals disinterest or a "No". But I wonder what went wrong.
Idk whether its because I am still kind of a stranger despite chatting for months and once upon a time being in the same school and we live in the same city or idk whether just like most Indian women, she is reserved or cautious about men too who aren't in a shared context with her. Its sad how Indian women are so reserved whether on Instagram or even when i initiate conversation in person via cold approach in a Cafe or bookstore of Church Street or Lavelle Road and as I am searching for a job and more in home, i am unable to meet new women as easily so relying on Instagram or cold approaching. Would have been nice if she responded but I’d imagine she just doesn’t want to take the relationship any further than chatting online. Doesn’t necessarily mean you did anything wrong, she just may not see you as a potential boyfriend.
@OlderSometimesWiser Idk we were kind of like friends. I was sharing videos of cars I saw around in the city, where I ate etc and she too would share about her day, how she is celebrating festivals etc. But idk why she left me on seen after this.
@Heroisthebest24 Apparently she doesn’t want to take things any further than your casual chats. People don’t always feel romantic chemistry with each other.
