I'm of the opinion that ...

... if you're to leave it on a tv channel and not be vigilant to mute it and change the channels when needed or even better turn it off and bask in a book there will be a huge leap towards dementia.

I don't know if it's designed that way by evil corporate people, who are employed by sinister world government folks but it seems so, in order to ensure a portion of the population who aren't able to avoid the perniciousness of it are left in such a debilitated state.

Think of those who are in a hospital and there's a tv on, and they can't change things, what happens are a barrage of certain things happening over and over, turning the mind to mush.

At first there may be resistance, but then comes acceptance and it may be too late then. There'd need to be intense care facilities empowered by groundbreaking therapeutic techniques to shepherd these poor folk back to any degree of mental acuity.

As Life Today is on i write this, what a show, and it comes on a certain channel like 20 times a day it feels like, it can surely turn the thoughts to jelly, and how it goes for the jugular at getting you all emotional about things, and the drive for money, money money money, presented as such a good cause.

You might be thinking -- don't watch it then. But there's 2 reasons i don't:

1) For dad as he rests, it's more likely for him to actually sleep with something on, his mind is mush btw, but not totally.

2) I feel like sometimes to see how things are with the tv channels, this will cease when i live alone, no channels when dad is gone, oh yeah, if i need local news or anything like that i'll stream it.

Resisting these nefarious effects is sometimes looking at what is being done, and being wise to the deceitfulness of tv channels left on for prolonged times. Knowing what is going on, like the truth will set you free!!

Honestly, I don't know if you've noticed that a lot of TV shows and movies have gotten insanely graphic, pornographic, disturbing, or just immoral in the message behind it, or even just pushing political ideals. If you get into the history of the entertainment industry there's some dark marks with cultism, government and agency involvement, like there's always some sort of agenda. If people are not careful and neglect filtering out a lot of that stuff, especially if they're already ill in some way, it can absolutely be detrimental. I've experienced this personally just recently. I knew better but was careless. So as a result, it started to mess with my PTSD. It induced a nightmare then intertwined it with trauma I've already have. I understand your two points on what can you do in this situation? It's a real strategy to have some to sleep to because the TV becomes like white noise. Idk, if I had to have something to watch and listen to in the background I'd probably try to come up with a playlist of things that are mostly harmless like idk nature documentaries haha! Or something comedic or satire. Nothing to be taken seriously or anything that really shoves down your throat of anything I've already mentioned that is glorifying evil or societal views that have become common place but are derived from something inherently a force (example, the whole love for money. You're a nobody if you're not making a dollar amount. Money is the only way to happiness. B.s. like that is an example, or other things appearing to be good causes but have very dark undertones). Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out a concrete solution to resort to because of these things happening, I've stopped watching a lot of TV. But for situations you've mentioned, that makes it near impossible. If I do figure out a holistic method, then I'm more than happy to share it. But for now, spending more time outdoors, reading, getting into creative outlets are my go to...though that might not be viable to someone who isn't able bodied or coherent enough to do so.

@RedGrizzly Thanks for that, and I hope you can be freed from the insidious designs that are so easily available, must be vigilant and take care of ourselves and those who are entrusted in our care. imo I think we are always in some way struggling and if we're not it might be a giving up. So in that sense, keep up the good fight .....:)

@SW-User Thank you, and good luck to you too on this problem! I think there's a studio or streaming service that's trying to filter all that crap out, I'll have to go look for it. That might be a good solution. But we'll see. 😁👍🏻
