Exactly where I bout them!

Car keys in our postbox, my son put it there as he "helped" his mum and me cleaning up our house :P He was three years old then. Looking for my car keys cost me two hours and buckets of sweat :P ;)

I found my sun glasses once in our compost heap. I assume I haven´t wear it on my nose, but on my head while I put a wheelbarrow full of fresh cut grass on the heap, and the sun glasses must have slipped from my hair into the grass and disappeared there immediately. About half an hour later or so I started to search for my sun glasses but couldn´t find it of course. I never thought of looking for it into the compost heap, so because I couldn´t find them nowhere I bought a new one. Months later the compost heap had to move to another place in our garden and surprise surprise my sunglasses came back to light. Much to the delight of my little son, who washed it in warm water with plenty of foam for at least an hour and kept it as a sacred treasure for weeks in his room ;). The funny thing about it was that he believed that wonderful things would grow in our compost heap, so he searched for new treasures every day for a few weeks, even though we told him a few times, that it was just an accident that daddy´s sun glasses had fallen into it ;)
@Eeyore122: You are never ever an angel, my friend! ;) ;)

You too are funny and it´s wonderful to talk to you :)

@RobinMichael999: I love this story. Kids are so delightful, with their belief and faith in all things wonderful and fantastical.

@Serenitree: Thanks, so kind of you to say so :) And I agree with you totally :)
I found my keys in the garage once. I had been sorting through boxes and I guess I laid them there. I didn't find them until the next year. 😠

In my shoe. Lol

@Realniceone4you: I have found that to be just about the one place I'm sure to find them. Especially since I retired. I only have two pairs of shoes. One for dressier clothes and one for everyday wear. When I get undressed I take off my shoes and set them by my chair. Before going to sleep, I put my glasses into a shoe. It works for me.

During the day, is when I put them down in strange places. I once found them in my huge mixing bowl on top of the fridge, only after I'd bought a new pair. It's a bowl I use rarely.

In the freezer, in the bag with the frozen corn. If I hadn't needed the corn for that night's dinner, it might have been days before I found them.

Keep them coming
I recall taking glasses off here at my place and they are nowhere.

Glasses are a tough one. I tend to take them off and set them on the closest flat surface, whenever I have to bend down to do anything. Then I forget doing so. When I eventually stumble across them, I remember "Ah, yes, of course. I put them there when I had to reach way under the fridge to get the cat's toy out."

Most things, I just think, if I were going to put this away, right this minute, where would I put it. And that's usually right where I find it.

You get it, only for me, it's when I head to wind down for the night. I am grateful and sorry that you have the same struggle, Serenitree
