Today spoke with expat women of 3 nationalities. Is it a cool thing?
So today as usual went to Central parts of our city Bangalore, India where most foreigners hangout. At first went to Church Street which is a youthful cosmopolitan part of our city which is cobblestone street only for pedestrians. Saw these 2 foreign women who were accompanied by an Indian woman. The Indian woman went to the bookstore while these 2 foreign women were checking out dresses in the store next to the bookstore. I initiated conversation with one of them who is gorgeous. They are from England which means they are Brits. We had a pleasant but brief conversation. She was friendly but I kept the interaction brief as they were buying dress.
Then I went to UB City mall which is a very luxurious mall and a hotspot for the expats in the city. I initiated conversation with this woman who is from US. She is an American expat who is a working professional here. She was friendly too and we had a decent conversation but she said she is feeling really tired so she need some rest so I ended the conversation saying it was nice to meet you and had a handshake in the end.
Then what happened was the best conversation in St Marks Road of our city. So there is this German woman whom I met 3 weeks ago in this Cafe named Lavonne and she just arrived in Bangalore that day. Today after 3 weeks, we again bumped into each other. She even recognized me and we had a pretty good conversation. She also asked me questions like about my MBA, how long I am living in Bangalore, how familiar I am with the city etc. I also shared her about my Bengali roots that I am from the city Siliguri in West Bengal state of India but living in Bangalore since 2008 when I was only 7 and now I am 24. She is also a young professional expat here mostly in her 20s so in my age group. I asked her name too and I said mine to her as well. I still skipped asking her Instagram but maybe if we again meet I might.
