Also one of the vendors suggested to me today it might be cool if the market was open more days a week, like a grocery store

And we would have workers (hu)manning the store as a whole, that know the products well.

And I would oversee the workers and help out too, obviously.

I think if we started small it would be really great. It gives the producers more opportunities to make money, and gives people access to good food throughout the week.

Just things to think about. Thinking about growth. 💙 I want our peoples to make more money. These farmers work so hard.

that sounds like an awesome idea. would be perfect for the community, just make sure if it happens, there's enough in budget to pay the workers, so it doesn't all fall to you and you become overworked and over stressed.

@Bexsy yes! I think we'd start out with short hours, and not too many days. But I think we could catch a lot of downtown workers on the way home that just need a few things to make dinner

And not too many products at first... Just trying to figure out how to structure the prices. Probably make sense to have the vendor pay a (low) monthly fee for the spot, and then perhaps a percentage of sales.

I also think, because we're an non-profit, it makes sense to have some of the income from renting studios going toward paying our workers... And then you could also market the studio spaces like, you're paying a rental fee but you're also helping feed our community 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@caccoon here vendoes pay small monthly fees, and in places like antique shops, they can put their own booth up, they pay monthly fees and a % of the sales go to the shop
