Rameswaram trip was great but the only thing missing was the food. Do you feel it was bad?
As i shared Rameswaram is a coastal place in Tamil Nadu of Southern India about 550 km from our city Bangalore in India and i came here for a trip. The places are great. Like the Pamban bridge which is a sea bridge which felt surreal, Dhanushkodi which is the end point of India and is surrounded by the ocean and you can even see Sri Lanka from there and in binoculars its even more impressive, 2 beautiful beaches and a big temple. But the only thing missing was the food.
Unlike other coastal places like Pondicherry or Goa, actually Rameswaram is more religious pilgrimage place so most restaurants are pure vegetarian. There are some non vegetarian or seafood restaurants at outskirts making prawns, crabs, fish and chicken but sadly the restaurants were small or didnt seem hygienic. I went with my parents and mom's friend and her family so yeah my mom was like we can't eat there and we ended up eating vegetarian dishes. Like today we could only eat some South Indian meal at lunch which is fully veg. We didnt eat any non-veg in this trip. In Pondicherry I ate lobster and also crab lollipop, in Goa I ate crab too but here nothing.
