Life is beautiful

I wish I could express in words what that means

I don’t mean that as “everything is ok”

Everything is awful, broken, vulgar, and gross

Our lives are full of pain and loss

But life itself? Therein lies something more

Maybe I’ll start writing poetry again to try and capture it

Or maybe music? Thoughtful lyrics over discordant tones

It is in contradictions that beauty is found

To perceive what is, is a miracle unto itself

But the even fly perceives what is

The flower

The mushroom…

But to perceive what could be? That is the beauty of life

And why it must flourish

I want to explore this idea more as it intrigues me so much

Death is not important, only life is important
