Maybe I'm jealous and bitter...

But I know a guy, gets married and immediately cheats on his wife, cheats on her over and over for years. He starts drinking to the point he's having seizures. He steals money, rips people off, destroys his business. He is a selfish, likely narcissistic jerk.

Because his drinking problems land him in the hospital, he gets a free ride, literally to rehab. He has no insurance, but the state will pay for two months straight of rehab, even giving him a free Uber ride two hours away to the rehab center. All free.

People he's been shit to for years show up for him. They bring him gifts and wish him well. People he hurt and stole from even before he started drinking.

But my son and I are losing our healthcare when we both have chronic medical conditions. Nobody shows up for us, nobody gives a fuck about us. Docs just cancel our appointments, or they won't even answer/call back when we have a referral. There's zero help for my child, zero.

Yet an addict (trying not to judge too harshly) who treats everyone around him like an accessory gets a full free ride. Gets support from people he shit on and the state funding his"recovery"...

My mind is blown. I'm really trying to think fairly and not be jealous, but it's bullshit. Plain and simple, bullshit.
