Day one on my own in a new place
19:00 Made it to the bus station, but the bus didn't leave until 7:00 the next morning so I slept outside and waited for the bus. It was nice outside so I actually slept pretty well.
6:00 Woke up. Went looking for a place to piss and ended up walking to a construction site and climbed through the fence to use their porta potty. I look like a construction worker with my jeans and steel toed boots on so nobody stopped me until after I used the toilet. I thought I was good until I was almost back on the other side of the fence and then the job formen came out yelling at me, "Who do you work for!"
😧 Nobody man I was just using the porta potty 👷 That's trespassing!🙄Ok, and I just walk off I turned around though and noticed he was now yelling at the guy next to him.
I also notice that the fence is actually wide open right next to where I climbed through so I walked out of the entrance back to the bus station the bus was just arriving as soon as I got there. No problems with jumping on to the bus.
We stopped a few times before the destination I had a veggie smoothie 🥤 that was pretty good, but I could have gotten a complete meal at McDonald's for the same price but fck McDonald's i'd rather eat healthy.
A few stops more and hours later I got to the bus station at around 20:00 . I had made literally no plans on what I was doing and only googled shelters near me moments before I had to exit the bus. No phone data of my own so I had to use the stores next to me that gave out free wifi. Still ended up just walking to the shelter, but by the time I got there they were closed and so I slept outside the lady was nice though and gave me a bus ticket back to the station that I just walked from and said It was safe staying there and if the cops try to harass you just show them the ticket.
I decided to just sleep outside with my heavy ass bags that I had been carrying for two miles. 😒 Stupid idiot got to bring all his books, papers, and shit.
Around 24:00 I layed down over my bags with my hoodie pulled over my head and legs. 02:00 Woke up freezing layed there most of the night just listening to the cars and people going by. Around six I walked up to another shelter just up the road, but they told me I had to come back at nine to get registered in, so no breakfast.
9:00 Got registered in and my picture taken the guy I talked to offered me a program I could join, but it was for addicts and alcoholics I told him I've never had a problem with those things, but I do need help getting a job. He told me that this program can help with that so I signed up.
I spent the rest of the day just waiting walking around grabbed some coffee, ate at the shelter, got on the bus to go to a male only shelter, got my bed, went over the rules and stuff, and took a shower. I had no soap so I had to open the hand soap dispenser and pull the little packet out and I used that to wash up.
All and all not a bad day.
