I'm not too proud to admit defeat. I'm tired. There's no more fight left in me.

It’s Friday. It’s a long weekend. Be defeated until Tuesday morning then come out swinging.

@Tumbleweed that sucks. When I worked in the warehouse, Fed ex supply chain, we had to work, 6, 10 hour days for 2 months straight. Our only day off was Sunday.

So glad I'm out of there.

@Tumbleweed Because all of a sudden, it got extremely busy and customers orders CANNOT go late. The other thing that sucks about fulfillment centers, PTO Blackouts.

So PTO = Paid Time Off. It's time you earn, either through the year or at the start of the year, that allows you to take off from work without an excuse and get paid for it and no points.

I worked at a smaller, local fulfillment center for 8 years. Both places would tell us, even if you have PTO to use, from October to mid January, you CANNOT use any PTO, we need everyone here. And I believe calling off earned you double points. Now let's say in January at the start of the year you submitted PTO and it got approved for a few days in November and a few days in December, well you're fine to take those days because PTO time was approved earlier in the year.

While these companies can be very busy, it is a ton of walking and it starts to feel like you work at walmart when they start handing down policies like this.

@twiigss I've worked where they wouldn't let us take PTO certain times of the year for that same reason.
