Was our house about to fall apart?

Doing the breakfast dishes this morning I heard a gentle thumping sound. Neighbours working on his house? Sounded closer than that. The thumping got louder and quicker. I put the towel down and began to follow the sound. Under our dining room window I spotted a baby pileated woodpecker banging his beak against the fake rocks we have under the window. He saw me and flew away. Kind of cute.

I love watching all the little birds that eat at my feeder I got for them. I even got a squirrel that comes out to eat

@lilylovesgaming1986 I am always fascinated by birds. I have rescued many of them. Some survived to adulthood while others were too weak and died.

@lilylovesgaming1986 That is so cool. I have a wild rabbit (prairie hare) that lives under a bush on my front lawn. He likes to lie in the shade in the summer and uses the bush to keep the snow off in the winter.
