Is life MEANT to be stressful?

Like we started out hunting for food, living in caves . .....but we've come so far.

We've moulded our environment to supposedly keep us safer, make life easier...

...but is it ? .....is it really ?

Bills
Renting
Mortgages
Work
School
Exams
Car problems
Shitty 'food'
Toxins
Pollutants
Social stress
Information overload

Did neanderthal man have this much bullshit to worry about?

I think we are meant to experience some level of stress so the hormonal system could work properly. Stress triggers the cortisol release and cortisol in healthy levels reduces inflammation and boosts immune system. However, long-term stress has the opposite effect.

Google AI says this:

A person with no stress may experience increased daily happiness and better physical health due to fewer chronic conditions, but could also suffer from cognitive decline, including lower attention and memory, as well as a lack of motivation, ambition, and engagement in social activities. While the absence of negative stressors is positive for daily well-being, some level of stress from daily challenges can be beneficial for cognitive function and for fostering social connections and problem-solving skills.
