Pre-operation update

I will be going in for a wound cleaning possibly on either the 28th or shortly thereafter. They have to put the leg to sleep from the knee down or put me to sleep because to pull the dry packing out with no anesthesia is far too painful. That is like peeling off layers of skin with a butter knife. Being shot is nowhere near as painful as that. They have to though because it has become slightly infected but the antibiotics are keeping it at Bay and I am doing it to save the leg. However once it is cleaned out the swelling has already gone down significantly and then hopefully it can be sutured shut very soon. At that stage I will have to go through physical therapy too build up the muscles so that I can properly walk again. But I am determined I will not give up and I will not give. I will walk again. I will return to my home. I will succeed.
