The owner/editor/publisher I work for is really intense, notoriously so

And I really like how she reminds me to practice my boundaries, even with her.

And reminds me to journal.

She's really SCARY sometimes; I am learning a lot from her.

Not to be afraid.

The different styles of management/interacting with people are fascinating. One is effective through gentle but firm communication; another uses intimidation to get why he/she wants; yet another brings out the best with their calm and confident demeanor.
It's encouraging to hear you're learning not to be afraid.
