Do you ever find yourself saying something you don't really agree with or believe just because you think it's what someone wants to hear?

I'm not proud of it, but yes, sometimes I have a more honest answer I could give, but I know it's not really the "right" answer, it's not really what they want to hear, it might make me look bad, it might not be popular, and sometimes I just care about being liked and being seen in a favorable light more.

This isn't meant to be self-pitying, and most of these situations aren't very important in the long run, but I never feel very good when I do it, even if the other person responds positively to it. Sometimes it's about making the other person happy. But other times I feel like I'm just going along with the crowd because it's easier than trying to explain myself.

I usually find some socially acceptable compromise. I believe that knowing when it's right to not hurt someone's feelings with raw bluntness just because you feel like you can say whatever you want is a sign of emotional maturity.
