facts I learned yesterday

contrary to what men believe, the right wrist is not the most important joint on the human body. it's the hip joint. the hip is made up of three three bones connected by muscle, ligaments and cartilege all of which can be damaged by a fall or just the aging process. the hip is crucial for mobility and takes more strain than any bone or joint in the body. it is responsible fora wide range of movement including flexation, extension and rotation. it supports most of the body's weight and is subject to great stress. going from sitting to standing puts 6 times the body weight on the hip, walking 3 times, running 8 times, stair climbing 5 times and will let you guess how much pressure sex puts on a womans hips. with that said had physical theraphy yesterday. did my stretching, walking and for the first time got on the stationary bike. unfortunately a few pedals and the look on my face told him we're not ready for that yet. not discouraged but a goal to be reached. know that walking without assistance, climbing stairs and the bike all need to be part of the recovery before driving and shopping the mall are allowed. that's my Christmas goal. thank you for reading and Have A Great Day All

The right wrist 😂
@DrawntoaDistance especially here on SW
@saragoodtimes for real.

On a more serious note, not too many people think much about their hips until there’s a problem. One thing I noticed in my career is that it’s pretty common that broken hips in older people might not sound like the biggest deal, but a lot of times that can be the beginning of the end for them.
@DrawntoaDistance so many complications can result from a broken hip and the recovery is a long tedious process even in younger people. surgeon said if I was older he would have skipped repair and just have done a replacement
