No, if "life" is consciousness, and not in the physical body, then "life" continues because life is in the cautiousness and not the physical body. That IS, however, if we awaken with full awareness of our past.

@calicuz but consciousness is within the body, it grows in the body when we’re little, we don’t know much and we’re pretty stupid, and then in teenage years we start to get a bit smarter, and ever smarter every decade after. Consciousness is totally linked to the body.

I disagree, how can "that which can not be seen or heard" be physically attached to the body? While you are correct, that it grows with maturity, it exists on it's own. Simultaneously with the body, but not attached to the body. Consciousness is a wave.

Are you sure? The brain is a functioning organ like the heart and lungs. No consciousness in either of those.
