I shaved and trimmed after a few months.
Because I thought of how I want to prepare myself nicely for my next phase of life.
This time I am doing something I have never done so far, a practice further ahead, of having even lesser given, planned, arranged.
I exchanged some hours of work with a tent (home) and have absolutely no money whatsoever. I will need to earn some in order for me to move out of the island. And to have some food.
I will carry a little bit of oats, honey and maybe something else from this house.
I count on fruit trees, figs are about to come soon.
Hopefully I will manage, in one way or another, to earn just a bit, so to be able to buy simple things.
Summertime and the living is easy, that is true.
I can carry less clothing. There is no need to worry about the cold much or about the rain.
I am on a quest to explore what burns me the most, food and shelter.
I will keep myself safe.
Few more days for this cycle and my commitments to end.
The main reason I want to move from the island is so to be able to explore without carrying my previous roles, the volunteer, the cat feeder, the artist.
The if it is for me to stay, I could probably use the network of people to offer some of my gifts in exchange for some money, like taichi training or painting classes.
Although, regarding the painting, I am friends with a woman who has an art studio here and lives off it and I wouldn't want to take work from her, it's a small island.
Unless I am selling on the street, which is different than art classes.
