What are your thoughts on approaching new people in a public setting

I must ignore my comfort zone for a while and try to do this away from the online world. My intention is to try new things and make a friend or two.

•This approach was my idea but Ai put it into a script (Give or take a few words) in Arabic and I translated it to show it on here

•I wanted to show it to my best friend in offline life but I don't know I thought putting it on SW first is a better idea

•I don't know why I'm making it a huge deal, I know I should just go with it.

•I always fear strangers thinking I'm extremely weird and not smart I have to beat this

Of course! Here's the English translation of your script, keeping the tone respectful, sincere, and natural:

---

[quote]Sure! Here's the full translation of your message into **natural, respectful English** — keeping the tone warm and polite, just like the original:

---

## 🎭 **Polite Introduction Script Based on Your Style:**

> 🎙 **Modi (with a smile and calm tone):**
>
> "Good evening, may I take a minute of your time?
> I know this might not be the usual way to do things, but I’ve been wanting for a while to start meeting new people in a respectful way.
> I saw you and thought I’d take my chance — without causing any discomfort.
>
> Would that be okay?"

> 🗨 **If she smiles or says “go ahead”:**
>
> "Thanks for taking it kindly…
> My name is ........ I won’t take much of your time — I just wanted to get to know you as a person. Nothing intense, even if it’s just a simple start."

---

## ☝ Strengths of This Script:

* It starts with **respecting her time** (makes her feel safe)
* It makes it clear you’re **not trying to hit on her**, but genuinely looking to connect
* The phrase “take my chance” adds a **light and humble** touch
* You’re giving her **the choice** to engage or not

---

## 🧠 Pro Tips:

* If you sense hesitation or rejection, exit gracefully:

> "No worries at all, I appreciate your time — have a great day 🙏"
* Always focus more on **her reaction** than your words
* Practice the script out loud to sound natural and confident

---

Would you like me to write a more playful or casual version of this script? Or maybe rewrite it in a relaxed **street-style English**?

Do not use a script to talk to form personal relationships with people.
Do not use AI to interact with other people in any capacity.
Do not tell people you're trying to interact with others in a respectful way. Show that respect through your actions.
Do not go up to random people in public and start a conversation without any kind of shared subject or interest.

It's possible I'm misreading this because I lack some cultural context that would make this more reasonable in Egypt, but to me this looks incredibly off-putting. If you want to start a conversation with a stranger, join a club or something. You can compliment their clothing or take interest in what they're doing. You can maybe ask for directions somewhere and make conversation with them casually. You need the conversation to come off as relaxed and organic, and for that, you need an excuse. It's fine if that excuse has a little white lie in it here and there; honestly, that can be kind of cute.
@BlueVeins I agree that Ai is probably making it weird.

I like your tip, it's definitely worth a try.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I do like that the script advises you to pay attention to her body language. That's a good idea, you want to know when to disengage and when to keep going.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Why'd you do this with AI in the first place?
@BlueVeins To feed my curiosity and collect information. It searches the web faster than I do and whatever tips it finds was put on the web by a human.
I know I don't need it but it doesn't hurt imo.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I think it hurts a little bit. If you do not use the abilities you have, they will atrophy. Generative AI devises the most generic answers possible whenever you ask it something. You want your brain to be flexible and well-exercised. We're already losing our ability to socialize and navigate to the computers, you know?
@BlueVeins Yea I get your point. Like for example if we use it to respond to each other right now we're going to stop being human.
I did find better advice on YouTube and I did some practice on friends of my friend at the cafe, I had a chance to try it on a couple of strangers who were taking photos of themselves in the street but I blew it.
