Why do the worst things have to happen to the best people?
Why do the worst people often live charmed lives and get their way at least 90% of the time (including getting away with screwing over good people)?
I'm so sick of many of my favorite people becoming terminally ill and dying, losing their closest loved ones in horrible, tragic ways and extremely young, and being screwed over by the worst people on the planet.
Meanwhile, the horrible ones? They get away with being awful, even get looked up to and respected for it (and nobody can convince me that this isn't true– I see it with my own eyes on a regular basis– it is usually the ones who were "mean girls/guys" in school and never outgrew that personality), and they usually flourish and do great in life. On the rare occasion they're called out or finally mess up badly enough to get in legal trouble, they get all sorts of excuses made for them, and usually slaps on the wrist.
It seems that so many of the people that have been there for me in my life and actually treated me well have been dealt some very bad cards, yet the ones who were horrid to me and made any and all attempts to make my life a living hell, or at the very least do their damnedest make me feel inferior to them in some way, get everything they want.
It's really disgusting how unjust this world is. I'm not even sure if I believe there's any afterlife with any justice in it, though it would be nice. Even if they had to go through a "life review" type of thing where they have to see and experience for themselves exactly what they did to others throughout their lives.
It's becoming extremely hard to not be bitter about it, and not to see the worst in both life and people.
