Do youu ever feel somewhat disconnected from everyone and everything?

I totally felt that way today. I live in a rural area and I drove to the nearest city which is a one hour drive away. I felt like something of a wraith just passing between people. Then in one of the shops I went to a woman looked at me , smiled and said something. That snapped me out of it and made me feel a bit more connected.
