I have found ways not to be.
@Kuronekko What’s helped the most?
Kuronekko · 41-45, F
@Notladylike Weed is very regulating for me. I only need a little and I am the most objective person in the world lol. Regularly grounding myself helps a great deal too.
@Kuronekko Weed helped me for awhile too, until it didn’t and I went into psychosis.
Grounding is super helpful though.

@Notladylike its not for everyone, unfortunately 😔

I find microdosing mushrooms to be equally as helpful for anxiety.

@Notladylike What were your symptoms?
@MartinTheFirst basically thought I was a secret agent…
@Kuronekko Yeah I’m interested in that. There are some trials happening here so I’d like to see where that lands before I dive in.

@Notladylike When was your psychosis resolved?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Notladylike If you got a psychosis on weed (a hallucinogen), then you might actually ruin your life by trying mushrooms (a much strong hallucinogen). It seems like your brain chemistry is prone to reacting negatively to it.
@MartinTheFirst Yeah exactly. My psychiatrist is the one doing the trial. So if I did venture down that pathway it would be under supervision… also the psychosis was quite cathartic
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Notladylike Fully believing you were an agent was cathartic? 👀 alright 🙌
@MartinTheFirst There are more nuances to it. But yes it was terrifying and I don’t recommend it. I was able to process quite a few trauma memories quite quickly though. However I wouldn’t voluntarily enter that space again of psychosis.
@MartinTheFirst I came out of it in a few days I slept it off in hospital.

@Notladylike I watched a video the other day about this stuff, my guy tried some shrooms, got permanent psychosis. His eyes are messed up as things look like a grainy vhs tape and people's faces deform and warp. 🤔 I had a temporary version of that psychosis after smoking weed, my world looked like a kaleidoscope for 1-2 weeks, and I didn't recognize it back then since I thought it was maybe just normal paranoia, but when I saw people in the corner of my eyes, their heads would always turn towards me as if they're staring at me when I'm not looking. That lasted for at least a few months.
@MartinTheFirst Yeah it’s a risk for sure. I’ve seen it at work too. I wouldn’t touch any substance lightly that’s for sure as I know I’m predisposed to negative side effects but I do think it can help a lot of people.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Notladylike Yeah it can, but also I think it's definitely dangerous too. It seems like these kind of symptoms are severely under-reported, both due to stigma, and because the science world hasn't been interested in it.

@MartinTheFirst microdosing is a tiny amount, it doesn't give you any hallucinations.
