I still post on here too when I am in distress, but I had added journalling to that

I can be more rambling in there.

When I feel anxious now, I gravitate toward my journal. I never thought it would be something I would do, but it is helping me so much.

It makes it feel more real and I can analyze it when I write it down, instead of constantly dismissing my feelings

Exactly! Works for me too when I'm feeling dysregulated..it's interesting how we have the answers already within ourselves...journaling is super healing , healthy and self validating

I do vent on here without being specific because I'm a private person and don't want to broadcast to everyone what situations i go through ...just not comfortable with that

@SW-User I'm glad you find it helpful too! It's amazing how much relief we can offer ourselves 💙💙

And yeah, I find the combination of venting on here, to friends, therapist and journalling to be so helpful!

It’s great that journaling is helping. Writing things down can really make your feelings feel more real and valid. You’re giving yourself space to feel instead of pushing things aside—and that’s an important kind of self-care. Keep letting it flow, even if it’s rambling. That’s where the insight often starts.

I don't journal as much as I used to. I should be more focused on that it does help me too.

@KatyO83 for me, it is something that comes and goes as I need it. I just always make sure to have blank books on hand to write in 💙 it feels nice to have a place to take my feelings, but some days, I don't do it at all
It's a very healthy way of coping and relief
