What are the two things that God wants you to seek first?
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
It means putting Christ and the things of the Spirit, first in our lives. When we put God first in our lives, everything else falls into the right order. That doesn't mean you won't have problems. You would never learn and grow, if you didn't have challenges. They are not to be ran away from. They are there only to help you learn and grow in Christ, so you can have a better life.
To truly seek God, the Bible says to seek him with all your heart, mind, and soul. You can do that by inviting Jesus into your heart and life as your personal Savior, asking him to forgive you of your sins. He promises to do so, and if you truly love him, you will want to steer away from sin.
You will enjoy fellowship with him through prayer, scripture study, and actively seeking to live a life that reflects His character and values, while also cultivating gratitude and seeking repentance when needed.
Make prayer a regular and intentional part of your day, communicating with God about your needs, desires, and seeking His guidance.
Immerse yourself in the Bible, God's Word, to learn about His character, principles, and promises.
Regularly examine your heart and life, seeking to identify areas where you fall short of God's standards and actively seek to change and grow.
Expressing thanks for God's blessings and recognizing His presence in all aspects of your life, can help you focus on the positive, and strengthen your faith.
Make conscious choices that align with your faith and values, seeking to live a life that honors God in all your actions.
Strive to enter God's presence through prayer, meditation, worship, and service.
Engage with other believers, attend church, and participate in faith-based activities, to strengthen your faith and learn from others.
Those who love God, will love their neighbors, acting with justice, kindness, and humility in their daily lives, as described in Micah 6:8.
Make time for prayer to build a relationship with God and study God's Word to understand His will and guidance.
Practice forgiveness, both for yourself and others.
