Today I was standing in line at Homegoods…
Ughhh, I just don’t understand people!!! 😤
Today I went to homegoods to grab a new skillet and a drying rack for dishes. After doing some additional shopping, I ended up with a relatively full cart in the checkout line.
Well, if you’ve ever been to homegoods, you’ll know that they pack a TON of cool shit in the checkout line. I decided to browse a bit while in line, and I had my eye on these sick little notebooks. I was taking my time, minding my own business, thinking about buying them—when this older lady comes up to me and asks me to move my cart out of the way so she can pass me in line… 😒
Granted, the line ahead of me did move along quite a bit while I was browsing, but does that mean I just give up my spot in line? The person ahead of me is still in line (further ahead, sure)—but not at a register, so why cut ME off? THE CHECKOUT LINE IS MEANT FOR BROWSING. Why am I being punished???
So I basically told her that I didn’t like her tone and that she could WAIT in line BEHIND me instead of trying to pass me.
And ohh, baby, you should’ve seen the look on her face. Clearly not the type of woman who’s used to being stood up to. 🤣
