I've been watching the bags shrink for a year or two

@Pretzel tell me about it, my fav chili sauce shrank and they still serve it in the same bottle size
@Pretzel Try since W. Bush was in office, ice creal was the first, going from a full two quarts down to a quart and a half, then the cookies, like fig newtons, chips ahoy, etc., from 16 ounces, to 14 ounces, now fig newtons are now 10 ounces, from $2.49 to $5.99.

@NativePortlander1970 now that you mention it I remember potato chip bags being fuller too - back in the 60s
@Pretzel Even in the 90's, the little bags at the checkout lines being bigger, and only 25 cents, now they're maybe six or seven chips that cost $1.69

@NativePortlander1970 I remember glass pint bottles of coke for 25 cents
@Pretzel As do I, but I don't remember anything more than 12 ounces from the machines until about 1982 or 1983, or on store shelves either.

@NativePortlander1970 the lil bags in checkout are now considered the family size lol
@CallMeJosh I'm old enough to remember when the party size bags were only 79 cents they were so cheap.
