Starting Over from Zero

I used to fear losing everything. The thought of being alone, broke, and starting from scratch used to paralyze me. So I clung to jobs I hated, relationships that drained me, and a version of myself that felt like a prison.

Everyone’s so scared of hitting rock bottom, but let me tell you, starting over from zero is the most underrated flex of all time. No baggage, no dead weight, no expectations. Just pure, raw potential.

People will pity you, underestimate you, maybe even laugh. Let them. They have no idea how powerful it is to rebuild without limits. No one can hold you to who you were. You decide who you become.

My old life burned to the ground last year. No job, savings gone, no safety net. But people don't talk enough about what else you lose - toxic family gone, fake friends gone, the weight of expectations gone. The version of me that played small to make others comfortable? Gone.

When you have nothing left to lose, you become dangerous. You stop living life on autopilot and finally start making decisions that serve you.

I don’t fear losing everything anymore. I fear staying the same.

@exchrist No my family is the complete opposite of supportive. I won't get into it until I'm emotionally ready to make a full post about it here though.

@exchrist Sometimes it feels like life keeps knocking you down, and the shit just keeps piling on. But you’re still here. That’s huge. The fact that your family was there, that’s a blessing. I wish it were like that for me, truly.

@Eglectic sometimes we are required to make our own family. Do you have ppl you can rely on?
