Approached 4 foreign women today which boosted my confidence today. What do you feel about it?
I have shared here before that I talked with several foreign women who are expats in this luxurious mall named UB City in our city Bangalore in India as its a major IT hub and big metropolitan city. But today I mostly talked with tourists in the mall rather than expats as it was a Thursday so most of them were probably busy with work or appointments. At first I saw this group of 9 white Europeans sitting in one of the restaurant of the food court. Later one of the women got up to wash her hand and thats when I initiated conversation with her. She was friendly and we had a brief conversation and found out she is a tourist from Lithuania. She had that attractive Nordic look and she looked to be in her 20s and I am 24 year old so we are within same age group for sure. I also told her I am an MBA student who is interning now. As she had to return to her group the conversation ended quickly.
Then later I saw another group of 4 white women in the mall. Eventually I approached one of them and talked to one. She is Russian but lives in Goa now and came to Bangalore as a tourist too. But damn she spoke so loudly and had that unique Russian accent. It was so unexpected and unique. She was so bold and friendly at the same time and even I felt a bit intimidated in a funny way. As she came there for shopping with her friends, the conversation was brief as well and we had a handshake in the end saying each other nice to meet you. Honestly she was so pretty as well and loved her accent.
Then later I saw 2 East Asian women in the same mall. I approached both of them confidently and talked to them as well. They were Japanese and tourists as well. So we had a brief conversation as usual and both were friendly. To them too I said I am an MBA student who is interning and just trying to socialize normally with foreigners and talked to both of them at the same time. I was wanting to talk more with expat women tho as they live longer term in Bangalore so I could asked her Instagram but talking to these tourist women still gave me a confidence boost. I went from an extremely shy guy in the past to someone who is actively initiating conversations with not just Indian women in my internship or MBA but also with foreign women from different backgrounds in a public setting like the UB City mall.
