@ninalanyon I don't know how I can plan on it. It's hard to find a man and stick with him. And at my age, the percentages of getting pregnant get lower. And my mind isn't there......well...

@being Well single motherhood isn't so rare these days, although of course it's more difficult than raising a child as part of a couple. But if your mind isn't there then it's probably best avoided. Stay close to your nieces and then perhaps you will have almost grandchildren, if you want.
My wife was forty when we conceived No. 3 son and the pregnancy and delivery were, like the previous two, completely uncomplicated and uneventful. The only difference from the previous ones was compulsory genetic counselling because of the increased risk of Downs syndrome.
