I changed my mind

The other day I posted about the Toronto airplane crash and speculated that it was crosswind that played a major role in the crash. I have since seen other video and have concluded that the pilot basically flew the airplane into the ground without any attempt to flair. It was like the pilot thought she was still a couple of hundred feet up. I say she because the latest reports say that the pilot was a woman who was barely qualified to fly that size of airplane and only had a month's experience yet was Pilot In Command. She had about one month on type. DEI at its worst.

Other pilot's consensus is that the plane lost altitude on landing at twice any recommended speed. Pilot error all the way

I’ve heard it’s to do with DEI hires, they’ve been boasting about, only having female pilots, men free 🙄

@AthrillatheHunt I have read studies that show that women have greater difficulty judging distances. I have never read any other study that would confirm that study one way or the other.

@hippyjoe1955 yes spacial recognition , response times and hand eye coordination too. Definitely way more important as a fighter jet pilot than a commercial pilot .

@AthrillatheHunt I would assume so although timing on a landing is critical as we witnessed at Toronto. Was it spacial disorientation or sensory overload or was it simply inexperience? We won't know for some time but it is quit evident that the pilot flew into some serious cumulogranite and her airplane paid the price.
I thought also he hit so hard broke the landing gear ,

So now we finally know the truth. Thanks for clearing that up.

Are there conclusive reports on who was piloting, or mere speculations?

@plankter979 This isn't about gender. This is about competence. Do try to keep up. If you get your commercial pilot's license and less than a month later you are pilot in command there is something wrong. Spend a few thousand hours flying right seat (copilot) then move to the left seat.

@hippyjoe1955 you’re the one who brought up gender and dei. Implying that a man wouldn not have been put in that position.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@plankter979 The point is that how does that incompetence come to be? DEI. It holds that anyone can do the job regardless of Gender and when there is not gender equality incompetent people get put into situations they should not be. Kind of sad that you don't get that idea.
