He sounds creepy to me. You'll have to tell him straight that you are not interested and to leave you alone, then stay out of his way, walk past him, don't even acknowledge him. Last resort, get a restraining order otherwise he won't leave you alone. Ever.
Could be that you are the only one around for him to flirt All others being married. So just enjoy the services.
Maybe maintain a notebook to record things related to him. Pay for the groceries after he delivers .. say your bf overseas does not like to accept things for free especially from old men.
And he knowing where to find you, say you never get lost and shall call him if at all you do sometime.
Ask him to buy you beer etc. until he opens up someday and then you can throw him out.
If it's possible move. Try to get voice recordings of some of your encounters and you can get a restraining order. Also let other people know you're having a problem with this guy so if something happens the cops will know where to start looking.
He is 53 and you are 33 so he is taking your kindness to his advantage. I would mind my way, be distant and actually tell him off firmly. There is no absolutely no need to entertain and feed his ego any longer.
I once read some good advice from a guy called Chopper in a gentleman's magazine. His advice was if somebody tries to intimidate or frighten you, you need to take it to the next level. Maybe talk about the pepper spray you accidentally brought back from The States with you, Oh well now it's here you might as well keep it in your handbag (not sure where you live didn't look), maybe talk about the ex whose balls you stood on for a laugh and he just went crazy, you get the idea. Anyway original idea came from Chopper and a guy with a name like that you have to take seriously.
Nothing there to suggest he is a psychopath but I do see some stalking related behavior. I would tell him one time how you feel about it and that while he might be a countryman and all we are never going to be a thing.
