Was I being a cowardly in the chats with this guy on Instagram especially at 23?

In my previous post I shared how a person on reddit who has been harassing me repeatedly deceived me by pretending to be a woman named Amanda coming to our city and asked me to switch to Instagram and like a fool I shared my insta id and then had a chat and then he revealed its him and threatened me saying he took all screenshots of my followers and following list and eventually i surrendered and he was satisfied and then blocked me and removed his profile pic. I didnt hide his username as its a fake account and it's on Instagram
