Say honestly was my pickup line to her really cheesy or was it a good one?

Today I literally met my previous crush Akansha on whom I had a crush last semester of MBA about 3-4 months ago. She is also one of the prettiest girl in our University and I used to talk to her and even hugged her but she gave an awkward smile during the hug but in this new semester, she seems much more comfortable talking to me and our conversations have been longer so far. She is about 22 or 23 too and I am also 23. Today I decided to use this pickup line on her. I first asked her "Whats something which is very precious in your opinion?" She answered "Idk I guess it depends in my opinion" and then I said her "Your smile is the most precious thing. Its very beautiful so always keep smiling". Then she smiled and said me thanks. She might have found it cheesy but she still smiled after hearing this pickup line. What do you feel?
