My grandmother always counted her change after receiving it from a cashier and if she was shortchanged by any amount, she raise hell in the checkout line about being an old lady and being subjected to elder abuse by the food store manager.
But if the cashier gave my grandmother too much change as it was methodically counted into her hand, my grandmother would quickly dump it into her purse and tell me afterwards after looking 6 times over her shoulder, that God did not put her on this earth to teach that cashier how to count change!
