@SW-User You say that but if you look at what's happened in the UK recently, the governing party made changes to law that from last election onwards, prevents people from voting if they don't have what they term 'acceptable I:D".
Because, (they said) it 'prevents fraud at the ballot box'
Now, the opposition knew it was a move to prevent people from voting who weren't likely to vote for the governing party anyway, but because they didn't have the numbers in Parliament to vote it down, there was nothing they could do preventing it from becoming law.
Fast forward four years and the government that brought it in is about to get trashed at the polls but the opposition party is refusing to rescind the law despite the fact that there have been less than 100 attempts at voter fraud in the UK
