Perfect Peace of Mind Through the Storms of Life

There are a lot of people out there that are in mental anguish. Christians go through this as well, as Satan loves to get our minds and hearts off Christ. But here's one verse that has never failed to help me, and I hope you will find it comforting as well. It is true. I have practiced and used it over and over, and it does work. Our minds cannot be glad and sad at the same time, so Jesus said keep your focus on Me, not this world, "and the things on earth shall grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace" , just as the old hymn says.

Think right now of the most beautiful place that you would love to see on vacation. Think about it for one minute. Were you miserable in that minute? Did you feel sad? No. You had your mind on something good and positive. Now apply that to the things of God and the Holy Spirit will speak to your heart, mind and spirit, and keep you in perfect peace.

Isaiah 26 3 says
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Christ took our sins and our shame on the cross and he has forgotten them as far as the east is from the west. After we ask him to forgive us of our sins, he promised to remember our sins no more and he doesn't want us beating ourselves up over them, because we could sure all do that, but Jesus said not to do that, because God sees you as righteousness now that your sins have been forgiven.

The Holy Spirit does bring us peace and the way to keep that peace is to pray when you can and read the Bible and think on things of God. Even watch good movies like Jesus of Nazareth on YouTube. They really bring peace and joy and there are lots of movies like that.

I can confirm I regularly go through this, but this is a very refreshing perspective, thankyou!

Thanks sister, I shall make a practice of this!

When we are down, in anguish, etc, we need to remember this, it's crucial!
