I don't know what you're facing today, but I do know that no circumstance is too great to cancel out God's promises for you.

With one smooth move, my daughter steered the van onto a side road, pulled to a stop, and turned around to face her son.

“I heard you,” she said quietly. “I heard you the very first time you asked. I’m your mom, and I’m going to answer you. But you have to be patient and wait for me to respond.”

What a wonderful lesson in prayer, that makes. Good parents want to hear from their children. So, why is it hard to believe God wants to hear from us?

Do you believe God is always listening? The answer to that question will help determine the condition of your prayer life and, consequently, the kind of fellowship you enjoy with your Heavenly Father.

God is always there to listen to you. He wants to help you. There's no reason not to hang on to the promises he has provided. When things are rough, that means we need to draw closer to God, not further away, because he's wanting to help us. He's trying to tell us that something needs changing in our lives, so that we can have more happiness in our lives. That also means that you will need to take steps to better your life, and what you can't do, God will take up the slack.

Nothing says you have to stay in the same place. Thank God, we don't have to stay stuck. Our bodies were not made to sit idle. He gave us brains and the ability to change, what we don't like. He gave us all the tools we need. There are measures you can take that can change your life for the better. You don't have to stay in abuse and you don't have to stay with that person that is making you miserable or is not the real friend you need. If a job is making you ill, then in your free time you can be putting in applications elsewhere, still making money where you're at. You can go online each evening when you're off and apply for jobs. You could be updating your resume, so that you can work at a place you enjoy. Then when you get called for that job you can tell them you can start in 2 weeks, give your last employer two weeks notice, then you'll be much happier.

Things like the examples above, or just a few things you can do for yourself. And if you are wanting to get away from drugs or alcohol, there are free counseling locations in your area, but the main thing to do is hang around people that will support you and ditch the ones that don't care about you and want to keep you addicted. If you want change, then you're going to have to change, and that's where some people get lazy, but take those first steps and actually do something good and healthy for yourself, and God will help you reach your goals, one step at a time. You can do it! Not one thing says you have to stay in the same circumstances, so start planning your next move. God will bless your efforts and he'll be with you all the way. He hears you, the very first time. Now it's time for you to start a new life. He can definitely help you do that, as well. With Christ as our help and guide, there's no way we can fail.

Thanks so much sister, just what I needed to hear!

Just as I thought life would get easier after my degree, it's getting quite hectic and because of various arrangements, hardly spending anytime in my own flat! 😂

God always has his ears open to us in this complicated journey called life!
@BritishFailedAesthetic it really does and even I learn every day how to do better and be better.
@LadyGrace I can guarantee you are a much better witness!
@BritishFailedAesthetic I've been around much longer than you, brother. That's all. Haha
