Cooking is always something I'm excited about when I get home from work, even if it's just a simple meal.

I also love doing it while calling my mom. Washing the dishes, not so much.

As I thought about your post, I realized something about how I relate to cooking.

Cooking has been a constant for me, regardless of changing circumstances.

I cooked as a single man, I have cooked as a husband, and I have cooked as a father.
I have cooked as a student and I have cooked as a "grown up".
I have cooked in various places in which I have lived.

Maybe that is why cooking makes me feel grounded.

And of course, the result is food -- with all that that implies, both physically and emotionally.

One of those people. 🤗 You really seem like a great person, doc. What’s your go to meal? Mine is always fried rice. 😅

@mindstruggle Mine would be pasta in garlic and oil, with anchovies. That's my "easy , fast, comfort food." And it reminds me of my mother.

And.....thank you!
