Do u support free housing for people down on their luck

@oldercanuck1 why should people who never got a chance to build something up be excluded? Getting people off the streets and into jobs reduces costs for society and boosts the economy. Leaving some on the streets for whatever reason means they'll continue to live off the goodness of others.

But if you're going to refuse some of them any help, shouldn't that be the ones who have shown to be able to get somewhere by themselves instead of the ones who have always needed a little push?

@NerdyPotato they are there cause they want to be ,, they are feed watered given drugs and all the medical help they want ,, some have od ten times a day and it is always to ems trucks and six police officers to help this mental case ,, people have needed medical help and had to do with out home have been destroyed by fire because the fire dept had to go to a od , and up here we can not ,, make them go to homes or a place to help them cause it is their right to be this way ,,

@oldercanuck1 I'm pretty sure that not even 10% of teenagers kicked out of their parental home become completely disinterested in any future, let alone gets that much help called upon them. But if you want to use that hyperbole, I'll go along. Do you really want to pay for an EMS truck and six police officers ten times every day, on top of homelessness shelters, for the rest of each of their lives?

Even if offering other help only helps 10% to contributing to society, the economy, and emergency services for the other 90% instead of using shelter and that many emergency services, I'm pretty sure that will reduce costs for everyone. And it's likely to move more than 10% of people from the needing to the contributing side.

But none of that is really important. You already seemed to agree that helping people down on their luck helps everyone. So why make a selection on whom deserves to be helped to help everyone and reject others to keep making everything worse for everyone?

@NerdyPotato No i do not want to pay for the police and EMS to be there ten times a day ,, i do believe they should be housed or placed in a mental hospital ,, but our constitution says it is ok to have them this way, We can only help them off the street if they want to be ,, personally i think they should all be rounded up and place in a camp out in the middle of no where till they are off there problem ,, and yes i know as soon as they get out they will be right back on the drugs ,, well if this is the case then let them od and die ,, problem solved

@NerdyPotato son i have lived history ,, served my country ,only to retire and see what they politics have done to it,, i have worked for everything i ever wanted since the age of 12 ,, and yes there where times my father hurt me but it was not enough to go and live off the country and become an oozing sore that only wants more , there is no reason for them to be this way in this country we have more social originations to get them off the street and to work and become a good person but they choose to be lazy no good drug and acholic butt heads ,,, life is nice when you are offered everything and not work for it ,,,

@oldercanuck1 if you've lived history and don't understand the consequences of rounding up people into camps and letting them die if they don't conform to your ideals, you've missed some very important details.
