Why is it with some things that they're enjoyable at the time of action but later when thinking about them aren't as enjoyable ?

Is it because they're not that enjoyable anyways but we're advertising them much and are brainwashed ?

I have it the other way around. Sometimes when I go on a trip or some event, I feel meh or notice uncomfortable factors too much and actually look forward to go back home at some point. Only when I look back later I realize how awesome it all was. I guess I need some time to process things, or my mind makes them look better in retrospect.
@CrazyMusicLover that happens to me a lot as well.

@NerdyPotato I sometimes feel like some things literally come to me much later in a form of a dream in a very combined and not clearly recognizable form. A common theme for me are markets in some country I visited on a vacation where ripe fruits smell amazingly. I love that scenery and it always makes me want to go on a trip again but when I realize how much all the planning and traveling is a pain in the a**, especially with the prospect of doing it all alone, suddenly such a tiny fleeting moment doesn't seem to be worth it all. Especially when I experience it vividly in my dreams already.
@CrazyMusicLover I can relate. The planning (and exhaustion) is why I decided not to travel anymore. I'm grateful for the things I experienced on previous travels and I'm glad I did those, but seeing more isn't worth the hassle.
