Finally talked with my crush on phone 😢. Do you feel i did the right thing?

Yeah today I finally called my crush Akankshya who is my University where we are both pursuing MBA. I got her number 3 weeks ago. She is within 21-23 age range and I am 23. Exactly a week ago, i hugged her as it was our last exam and we have a 3 months break as we have to complete a 2-3 months internship between May and July and our next semester classes will start from August so we won't be able to meet her for 3 months. She did give an awkward smile during the hug so i was worried whether she was comfortable enough and whether she would talk with me again or not. I was also missing her as its been a week since we met the last time. 😢😭 Thankfully i have her number so i called her and she picked the call. Its good to see she was talking normally with me and we had a conversation in the phone today like asking each other how are you and stuffs. I am feeling a lot better after talking with her especially after missing my chances of talking with those 2 white foreign expat women in the posh area of my city Bangalore in India and honestly i missed my crush a lot. Still hard to believe that we won't be able to meet before August at least in University unless i ask her to hang out with me.
