how many homes can you buy in your area with 1 million dollars?

There are a number of nice 3-bedroom homes around me for $350k, homes that 3 years ago went for $250k, but since the housing market went nuts, the prices have gone up.

Out in the suburbs, decent 4-bedroom homes can be had for $300k.
