Adrift in the waves
As this life does concave
Hoping to wind up on shore

But this life has been ragged
And often I'm staggered
By the way that life's keeping me moored.

To find myself on this island
Still searching for highlands
With the liars all whispering scores

Helplessly I'm drifting
Like the driftwood adrift in
A whirlpool of endless remorse

Still clinging to hope now
Like the hangman's stiff rope now
Dangling on every chord

I hear the choir singing
About a world they ain't bringing
I'm just here left to my own accord
