Why people insist on latest electronics

When old things work just as fine? Remember that phone that was so innovative 4 years ago. it couldnt possibly be any slower TODAY because it was released 4 years ago. i just feel like why waste money. or i was last week in this internet cafe that had monitors from 2008. guess what, worked just fine!

My phone is a 2018 model. My computer is a panasonic toughbook that's about 4 yrs old. The only new new stuff I bought last yr was a replacement tv.

I refuse to own electric cars and they are regarded the same - bling factor then throwaway items after 5 yrs when the battery module degraded too much.
