Why people insist on latest electronics

When old things work just as fine? Remember that phone that was so innovative 4 years ago. it couldnt possibly be any slower TODAY because it was released 4 years ago. i just feel like why waste money. or i was last week in this internet cafe that had monitors from 2008. guess what, worked just fine!
