Do you ever wonder

What your life would be like if you just moved to another country and started fresh.. Where would you go? I’ve always liked the look of Norway.

I have lived in Italy, Greece, and Spain for about six months each and loved it every time
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@BigImo Would find it interesting experiencing the different cultures :)
BigImo · 26-30, F
@DHggmu it's amazing. Helps if you learn the language too. I went only speaking English and came back fluent. I didn't even speak English for the last four months I was in Italy
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo woah that's nuts that you picked it up that fast. I lived in the Netherlands for 3 years and still really struggle with Dutch
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@BigImo I always struggle learning the language, I did try to learn Italian and could speak a little when i went to Rome. I imagine living there it’s a necessity..
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler I surprised myself with how fast I became fluent. I was talking to people pretty much all day every day so pretty much became a native speaker 😂
BigImo · 26-30, F
@DHggmu yeah the whole point of moving there was to talk to people and make memories so I couldn't just expect them to speak English
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo what do you do that you can move countries like that?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler I was a self employed content creator during the Italy for Spain days, and studied abroad in Greece for university. I wish I could do it again but I'll probably not be able to again until I retire in 2028
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo what kind of content? Like online content?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler online adult content
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo oh cool, so you're just living frugally and saving until you retire in 4 years?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler yes and no. I'm saving up but I still spend a lot. Earned a lot as a creator and earn a lot in my current office job. Plus a few good investments
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo oh okay I thought you were still doing content creation. What is your office job? Don't you miss the freedom?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler nah I had to quit and get a "real job". I'm now in charge of planning holidays and events for rich and famous people. Honestly I probably have more freedom now tbh. Doing onlyfans often involved working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week so free time was hard to come by
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo holy shit why does it take so much time? Was it all custom content?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler I had to film the videos, set everything up, tidy everything away, make both public and private custom content, edit the videos, post them, promote it on social media, have long chats with subscribers, plan content weeks or months in advance, organise collabs with other creators, shop for different outfits and props, and much more. All by myself
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo oh yeah damn you're basically a one-person production team okay. Are the conversations with subscribers interesting or just part of the job?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler exactly. People think it's easy money but it's genuinely one of the hardest jobs there is. The conversations varied wildly. Some people were just lonely and wanted someone to talk to about their day. Other people wanted to roleplay and for me to rate them. One guy asked for details descriptions and measurements of every body part so he could create a sculpture of me. One guy wanted me to teach him how to make an omelette. No two people were the same
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo yeah that's kind of amazing though how much insight you get, like I bet some of them were more honest with you than they'll ever be to anyone they know in real life. What about the collabs, is that awkward? or is it really hot?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler yeah it was a pretty special experience. A lot of them told me I'd helped them through tough times. I even helped one person come out to her parents as trans and support her through her transition. The collabs were always great. I wouldn't have done them if I wasn't 100% comfortable
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo woah yeah is that why you stopped? too much time commitment and too much responsibility in your subscribers' lives?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler that was a big part of the reason. Having that much influence was affecting my mental health. Plus a few people took it way too far. One man sent me a photo of my own house, another carved my name into his arm with a knife, another threatened to hurt my family, and another divorced his wife to be with me. I quickly stopped, moved house, hired security, got a "real job", and started going to therapy. I'm much happier now than I was then
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo jesus fuck. is that typical for online adult content creators?
BigImo · 26-30, F
@Sandcastler others creators I talked to had similar things happen but not even close to the level I got. A few had people send them their own address, but none actually had people going to their house like I did
Sandcastler · 26-30, M
@BigImo yeah damn you must be really talented at connecting with people. Do you find yourself kind of "playing the therapist" irl with your friends as well?
