Otherwise unremarkable, my intellectual gifts are artistic conceptualization, and creative synthesis.
Like the blacksmith working the iron; I give the abstract, purpose and form.
Where the elements of balance, pattern, and line -- are forged.

@Soossie I'm refering strictly to intellect; not my soul.
The limited intellect I do possess, has endowed me with creative talents in the arts.
Specifically: fine art/design, and literature.
These talents allow me to translate an idea or abstract concept, into a tangible representation. Onto canvas, or into prose.
Some of the essential elements of writing, and design, include: patterns, balance, and line.
All of which I utilize to craft the finished piece.
I compare my creative process to the work of a blacksmith. Who begins with a formless lump of metal, and a vague idea or concept for the finished piece. Which he then molds into an object of form and function.
The soul, is too broad and complex a subject to be described in just a few lines. So I chose intellect instead.

Uh!! Now I understand you better ….
I lived with a great artist for 14 years and that made me realize how his intellect was tangible through his works and how his soul was beautiful, still aggressive and sometimes exciting …. I was the only one who could see his naked soul, for everyone else it was unreachable like a fortress ….
Thank you for the explanation …. 🤗🤗

@Soossie Just finished a podcast on art, and the hidden worlds of its greatest contributors.
You had an incredible privilege, knowing such an individual. Often only those closest to artists fully understand them. Their silent, tortured, inner lives represented as passion in their greatest works.
I know he was a great man, for whom you cared deeply.
Thank you for sharing this. 🤗🤗

Thank you Seth … No wonder why I respect you so much … I love to hear that podcast (if not private) …
He used to tell me that he could never ever spend 3 days under a ceiling with anyone, except for me … lol … that was perhaps because I could see him as he was …
I love to see some of your works please if possible … 🤗🤗

@Soossie I'm touched, what a beautiful thing to say! Thank you so much.
Likewise, you have consistently been a lady of unparalleled grace and class among us, here.
Thank you for elevating SW with your humanity, and an appreciation of the human experience.
Your introspective posts on art, culture, and psychology showcase the many beautiful facets that are you.
I understand that. At his level of genius, it is akin to a lion being caged. Not unlike Beethoven, Leonardo da Vinci, or Salvador Dali; who's otherworldly gifts imbued highly sensitive personas, and powers of perception.
Only a few artists living, have channeled the glory of the Renaissance. Your late husband may have been one of them.
The podcast I will have to dig for. It was featured on a radio program driving home, just after Christmas, so the source is obscure.
Aww, I'd be honored. Thank you for your interest!
I tend to be my worst critic, and therefore I've not showcased much of my illustrated works.
The most accessible, though, may be pieces of prose I've done over the years. I'll certainly see what I can find.
Once again, thank you for sharing your husband's life and reverent history; and the stimulating discussion of our mutual love of art.🤗🤗😊
