I See Grey

As I look at the colourful clutter on my desk, the rainbow backlight of my keyboard, and the plethora of colourful icons on my screen, All I really register is grey noise. Colours seem insignificant now, because I have more important things to think about.

As I look at the things I used to enjoy; my ukulele, my piano, my video games, all I really register is grey noise. Games seem insignificant now, because I have more important things to think about.

As I look at the people around me; strangers on the street, my best friends, my family, all I really register is grey noise. People seem insignificant now, because I have more important things to think about.

As I look around my kitchen, I see food, and drink, all I really register is grey noise. Food seems insignificant now, because I have more important things to think about. All I'm thinking about is the drawer less than a metre away from me; the one where we keep the knives. And about how long I have before someone comes home.

Colours are useful to distract you away from the negative thoughts though.
Allow yourself a palette of a larger world.
